Maura Rose is an independent curator, art advisor, and art business developer working and living in Manhattan, New York. Since receiving her BFA in Interdisciplinary Art from the University of Washington she began working directly with artists and creatives in-studio learning about process from the source, acquiring a variety of techniques from gilding, sewing, sculpture, performance, photography, textile fabrication, sanding, metalworking wood working, to traditional oil work, transportation, installation, and deinstallation. Through this work Maura evolved into curatorial, leadership, and business management roles, cultivating relationships with artists, collectors, galleries, HNW & UHNW individuals, and professionals across the arts, real estate, and tech industries. Since relocating from the Pacific Northwest to New York Maura is completing her thesis for her MA in Art Business & Administration from Sotheby’s Institute of Art New York. Maura has Curated art exhibitions and public art performance festivals. She has led Artist Talks and Q&A presenting public programming. Recent exhibitions include HeartBurn at Sotheby’s Gallery 570 Lexington Ave 2025 and Its Art If I Say It Is by Allison Beda at the Museum of Contemporary Art Oaxaca 2026, IAIISII is currently in development for an international exhibition tour 2026-2028. Specializing in client-facing relationships Maura activates her strong, international network to center high profile, contemporary art and design in the public and private sectors.
